2021 feels like a lifetime ago.
Even before COVID came along and warped the very concept of time, spending three years without new music from one of the greatest acts around would have felt too long. Throw in the mess of the pandemic and it’s been almost unbearable to be without fresh tunes from London Grammar for this amount of time.
Of course, ‘The Remixes’ came along last year to scratch the itch somewhat, with some twists on the LG discography certainly getting the pulse racing.

But there’s nothing quite as impactful as a brand new tune, and ‘House’ definitely doesn’t disappoint in that regard. One of the University of Nottingham’s alumni’s more fast-paced tunes, it feels like a noughties-esque throwback with the usual enchanting Hannah Reid vocals and a tempo that feels perfect for easing us into summer.
If House is a taste of what’s to come in new album ‘The Greatest Love’, due later this year, then we can expect an energetic, optimistic record that may arguably break new ground for the band - all the while underpinned by all the things that make London Grammar London Grammar.
